In 1967, SuEllen’s parents opened Fabbrini’s Flowers in Hoffman Estates, a northwest suburb of Chicago. From the start, it was a true family business, with all four children involved from an early age. As the oldest, SuEllen gained hands-on experience in every aspect of the floral industry, starting from sweeping the floors to managing their Woodfield Mall location and eventually overseeing operations across three stores. Her academic background in interior design and marketing further enhanced her natural business sense and creativity.

After starting a family in the 1980s, SuEllen moved to Cape Coral, Florida, in 1988 in search of a slower pace and a great environment to raise her children. There, she continued her journey in the floral world, first working in a local flower shop, then managing a silk flower and Christmas décor store. Collaborating with interior designers, home builders, and teaching floral design classes, SuEllen’s design skills blossomed. She specialized in custom florals and plantscapes for new homes, showcasing her creative talent and attention to detail.

In 1990, SuEllen achieved a lifelong dream by purchasing her very own flower shop. Since then, she has remained an active and generous member of the Cape Coral community, supporting local schools and organizations. Her family, husband Tom, son Jesse, and daughter Stephanie, are still involved in the business today, continuing the proud tradition.
